We strive to make camp accessible for ALL children. Unfortunately, the Kroc Center cannot provide specialized, one-on-one care for any individual camper. Parents of children with special needs must submit an inclusion application AND meet with the Day Camp Supervisor at least three weeks prior to your desired camp start date.  At this time, we can work together to decide if the Kroc Center is the best place for the camper.

2. Counselors and campers work together to create a “group contract” and outline the consequences for misbehavior. We deal with issues pro-actively, by informing campers of expectations and creating an environment that fosters safety, openness and respect.

3.  Bullying of any kind is not acceptable and will be addressed immediately.

4.  Our behavior correction process is a three step system:

Step one: Verbal warning

Step two: Temporary suspension from activity and discussion with Day Camp Manager

Step three: Parents will be notified. If campers do not follow the rules or repeatedly misbehave, we will contact parents. Depending on the severity and frequency of the adverse behavior, campers may be dismissed from camp at the discretion of The Salvation Army Kroc Center.  No refunds will be issued for time missed due to disciplinary reasons.

5.  Campers are expected to follow our five guidelines for behavior:

  • Respect Yourself
  • Respect Others
  • Respect Authority
  • Respect the Kroc Center
  • Have fun!

If you feel that your camper may struggle with any of the above guidelines,  please fill out an inclusion application to make sure we can provide the best care possible.
